<title><![CDATA[ITA Experts take a visit on the 7th contract section of Guangzhou subway]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>In the afternoon of the 21th November, experts of International Tunneling Association visited construction site of Haizhu Square subway station, the 7th contract section of Guangzhou subway the 6th line project undertaken by Shenzhen subsidiary company of CRFG. The staff of the company included vice-manger Mr. Zhu Weibin and Mr. Duan Baolin as well as chief engineer Mr. Yin Wenhu gave a warm welcome to the guests. Having inspected the site and asked about relevant matters, Mr. Martin Knights, president of the association, spoke highly to the construction staff:&nbsp; very good, very standard and very civilized!<br /><br />Invited by China Civil Engineering Society, The ITA president and Secretary General came to china to attend an academic conference, in the meeting, vice-manger Mr. Zhu Weibin of the project issued his paper &ldquo;Appliance and Breakthrough of Shield Tunneling Technology under Complex Ground Formation&rdquo;. As part of the academic activities, the experts therefore made the visit to the subway project which is located at the most central&nbsp;area in Guangzhou city.</p>

<title><![CDATA[Pavement of World¡¯s No.1 Rail Bridge Completed; 5 Kilometers of Rails Paved per]]></title>

<p>The reporter yesterday noted from the construction department of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL, the pavement of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL in Shaanxi Province has progressed rapidly since May 5. As of May 13, pavement of the world&rsquo;s No.1 rail bridge Weinan Weihe River Bridge has completed, with 5 kilometers of rails paved per day, setting a record high for pavement of high-level PDL of the State. </p>
<p>At 15:50 on May 13, rail pavement project of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL in Shaanxi reached the connection point at the turnoff of New Weinan Station. Staff of China Railway First Group paved the last group of 500-meter-long steel rail in the rain, and inserted a 52-memter short rail between the turnoff of Weinan Station. </p>
<p>After 55 minutes of construction, connection of the rail was started at 16:45 on the afternoon and completed at 16:50. The traction motor and pushing motor stably passed the No. 2 turnoff of New Weinan Station of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL and entered New Weinan Station, marking the smooth arrival of railway pavement project of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL at New Weinan Station.</p>
<p>Weinan Weihe River Bridge with a total length of 79.7 kilometers is world&rsquo;s No.1 rail bridge. Construction and rail pavement were progressed on the bridge. Besides, the first fully-closed New Weinan Station was also constructed on the bridge. The first long-span, high-speed, ballastless turnoff was successfully paved on the trestle of new station. </p>
<p>According to the plan, Xinyun Co., Ltd of China Railway First Group will progress the railway pavement at the speed of 10km per day in the future. It is predicted that pavement work will arrive at the connection point of Shaanxi and Henan segments of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL on June 10.</p>
<p>The Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL in construction has created many world&rsquo;s firsts and national firsts. The PDL is scheduled to start trial operation on Oct. 1 and will be open to the traffic on Dec. 28. After opening of Zhengzhou-Xi&rsquo;an PDL, a train will set off for every 10 minutes at peak time. The PDL will shorten the traveling distance between Zhengzhou and Xi&rsquo;an to two hours and will become a railway express delivery path with high speed and large capacity between Shaanxi and Henan. </p>

<title><![CDATA[China Railway First Group Creates Daily Shield Construction Record]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>On May 10, the first shield machine of Suzhou Light Rail Line Jinji Lake Section has dug 613 meters underground and 277 meters underwater; the air shaft of Island A is 568 meters ahead. The second machine has dug 80 meters and one side of steel pipe along the communication channel between tunnels has been installed. During the construction, China Railway First Group has created a new project record of digging 24 meters a day.</p>

<title><![CDATA[CRFG Overseas wins the bidding of NBBIA piling work project in Pakistan]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>On May 29th, CRFG OVERSEAS received Letter of Acceptance from HQCAA Pakistan, and was informed that its bid for new Benazir Bhutto international airport package-2: piling work for passenger terminal building had been accepted, the contract value is Rs. 555,918,257 equivalent to 48 million Chinese RMB.</p>
<p>The piling work project is the second successful bid in Pakistan following the acceptance of the bid of the Dhangli Bridge Project last year. In accordance with the contact, the construction period of the project should be 273 days and CRFG OVERSEAS is making an active preparation for implementation of the project now.</p>]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Pakistan Engineers visit Shanglin Bridge project]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>In the morning of the 25th November, Accompanied by Mr. Min Yongjun, general manger of CRFG Overseas engineering company, Mr. An Guoyong, general manager of the 4th engineering company of CRFG, and Mr. Li Yunxiang, CWE project manager, as well as the Shanglin project managerial staff, Pakistan engineer Mr. RASHID ALI KHAN and Mr. MANZOOR ALI took a visit to Shanglin bridge project which is undertaken by the 4th engineering company of CRFG.<br /><br />In the site meeting room, Mr. An firstly introduced the managerial staff of the project to Pakistan engineers, and then the project manager&nbsp;made a presentation of construction details to all the attendants, during which questions and enquiries posted by Pakistan engineers were all solved or answered by the personnel of CRFG. After that, Pakistan engineers and the accompanying staff went to the deck of Shanglin bridge&nbsp;by car and had a inspection on construction status, and they showed great satisfaction to the construction organization and management of the project.<br /><br />At last, Pakistan engineers and the accompanying staff visited the construction site of Xianyang 2nd Bridge project which is now under construction by CRFG.</p>

<title><![CDATA[CRFG Overseas wins the bidding of NAQALI bridge project in Fiji]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Ministry of Transportation Engineering and Public Works of Fiji formally awards letter of acceptance of building new NAQALI bridge project to CRFG Overseas. This is the first time that CRFG wins a bidding independently in overseas engineering project which indicates a new breakthrough of CRFG in oversea market. </p>
<p>NAQALI bridge project in Fiji locates about 40km away in southeast of Suva, the capital of Fiji, and the length of the bridge is 151.25m. The project plans to start on Jan 2nd, 2009, and complete on Dec. 31st, 2009. The contractual construction period is 12 months.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
<p>The leaders of CRFG put close attention to the project during the tendering process of NAQALI bridge project in Fiji. They personally led investing group to invest the local market for several times. They communicate vigorously with the owner of the project, the relevant department of the local government, the local Chinese embassy and the business department. CRFG select the best personnel, and organize the bidding work earnestly which lay a solid foundation for winning the bidding of NAQALI bridge project as well as creating conditions for participating other projects in Fiji, such as low cost housing project. <description><![CDATA[<p>CRFG Overseas receives the letter of acceptance from the housing bureau of Fiji which awards the 2 and 3A section in second phase of the foundation work of Low cost housing project of Tacirua in Fiji to CRFG.</p>
<p>Premier Wen Jiabao put forward to provide 3 billion RMB loans on favorable terms to Pacific island countries in April, 2006. The foundation work of Low cost of housing project is the national key construction projects of the government of Fiji who will use the money from China. The project includes foundation construction projects of the sub district and house building works. The project aims to build 3 to 4 low price house sub district which will have 3000 house units to home the poor and homeless and to alleviate social instabilities.&nbsp; </p>
<p>CRFG knows the news at the end of 2007 and begin to work hard for getting the project. The efforts includes to follow up the scent vigorously, to investigate the project in Fiji for several times, to introduce the strength and achievements of CRFG to the owner and the relevant government departments, to workout the proposal engineering plan earnestly, to invite the official of Fiji to visit the model houses built specially for the project and the house building project in Xi&rsquo;an. The above efforts gains trust from all interested parties in Fiji to CRFG</p>
<p>The project includes road building of the subdistrict, network of water supply and drainage and power engineering, and the cost is 41.6 million RMB. <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; From Oct. 8 to 17 2008, under the leadership of assistant general manager Mr. Sun, 6 members of Department of Audit Qin Yongming, chief account of oversea group Huang Gonghua and other 3 persons&nbsp;went to Morocco for negotiation and research on Morocco Hydraulic Tunnel.&nbsp;<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp; In the morning of Oct. 9 2008 local time, Mr. Sun were called on Counselor Mr. Wang and his secretary at the economic and Commercial counselor &lsquo;s office, and Mr. Sun appreciated the Counselor&rsquo;s help and concern to our project, also clearly expresses that CRFG gave great attention and support to the project, namely Morocco hydraulic tunnel, and stated that CRFG, from the high political stand of maintaining the friendship between China and Morocco,&nbsp; continues the unfinished project with China Overseas Engineering Group Co. ltd(COVEC), and do a satisfactory job in put a Chinese enterprise on foot in Morocco markets.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />&nbsp;&nbsp; From Oct. 10 to 14, Mr. Sun extensively investigated the progress of the project, and expressed deepest condolence to front-line staff on behalf of group. He encouraged all of staff to overcome difficulty and work together to do well the production of the project as always to create a good image of our group in Morocco. During the forum, Sun Yonggang and Sun Yangjun have a meeting with Chen, discussing about CRFG&rsquo; s ongoing project, and receive officials from Department of Foreign Aid, Department of American and Oceanian Affairs, Export-Import Bank of China and Ministry of Foreign Affair of Fiji. <br />&nbsp;<br />Sept 7th afternoon, Sun Yonggang meets with Li Jun, Deputy President of Export-Import Bank of China.
